Lately I’ve been playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii and it’s a blast! I spent the first half hour deciding which character I wanted to specialize in and I ended up choosing an old childhood friend of mine: Pikachu.
There are different controllers you can use to play this game, either the Wiimote & Nunchuk, the Wiimote turned sideways, the GameCube controller or the Classic. I’ve been training in using the Wiimote & Nunchuk, and the shake I use to smash my opponents reminds me of the spin for Mario in Super Mario Galaxy.
My favorite stage has to be Smashville, which is inspired by Animal Crossing. I absolutely loved Animal Crossing for GameCube and this stage has the Mayor, and the giraffe with the fancy clothes as part of its audience. And if you play this stage on a Saturday night at 8 p.m, be prepared for a K.K. Slider concert!
This is the first Smash Bros. game I’ve ever played and I love it. I haven’t gone online to take on other players yet, but I’m really looking forward to it.
